Marcos Hernandez was appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Community Development Advisory Council on Jan. 1, 2018. Hernandez is vice president in USBank’s Corporate Social Responsibility group, where he is responsible for leading community development strategies. His work focuses on lending, investments and service activities, which include grants and philanthropy to support community initiatives and consumer needs, as well as environmental, multicultural and supplier diversity programs and projects.
Hernandez is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served in the electronic intelligence field and successfully lead several high level Department of Defense software improvement and database migration projects. Subsequent to his military service, his experience includes managing corporate IT projects and teams of programmers, analysts and database managers at First Data.
Hernandez holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering technology from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and is a graduate of the Community College of the Air Force.
