Workshops

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City conducts economic and financial education workshops and conferences throughout the year in conjunction with area schools, school districts, and economic education centers and councils.

Let us host a workshop for your school, school district, or economic education organization. To learn more or to schedule a workshop at the Federal Reserve office in your area, please contact your local representative. Workshops should be scheduled at least three weeks in advance.

Educator Workshops
Educator workshops are professional development opportunities hosted at the Federal Reserve and tailored to help meet teachers' needs in their classrooms. These sessions also can be valuable to curriculum coordinators and administrators involved with Social Studies-related curriculum within their schools or districts. Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Economic concepts
  • Financial literacy topics
  • Role of the Federal Reserve System

Typical workshops last a half to a full day and often include one or more speakers on the Federal Reserve or other banking topics, an overview of Federal Reserve System resources available to educators, and a Bank tour.

Student Workshops
Student workshops are opportunities for educators to bring their students to the Federal Reserve for half- to full-day sessions.  Workshops include interactive activities and information sharing related to the Federal Reserve and economic and financial literacy concepts.
